The Davidson Wildcats hope to stay hot when the Georgia Southern Eagles visit Belk Arena.
Georgia Southern has great scoring potential but the problem is getting consistent stops defensively. The added issue is the scoring has also dropped off which makes it very tough to win. GSU fell for the third time in four contests in 74-64 loss to visiting Wofford who led by nine at the break behind 50% from the field. Georgia Southern could only maintain the deficit with 41% shooting not enough to mount a rally. Jelani Hewitt led a trio of double digit scorers with 18 points followed by the combo of Tre Bussey and Angel Matias with 13 points apiece with Matias grabbing nine rebounds.

Davidson was penciled in as the SoCon champion before a ball was bounced and either the bullseye on their back got bigger, poor play or a combination of both had them struggling out of the gate. Fast forward to the past few weeks and the Wildcats have begun to turn things around with wins in five of six after an 82-77 decision at Western Carolina that has the club one game out of first in the conference. The visitors blistered the nets with 57% shooting but helped keep the Catamounts alive with 21 giveaways leading to 16 extra WCU looks. Chris Czerapowicz led the scorefest with 19 points and six pulls with De'Mon Brooks tossing in 12 followed by Jack Gibbs and Tyler Kalinoski and their 15 points with the latter posting nine boards.
If I was 100% positive Davidson was back to their dominant ways I would not hesitate to back them but I'm not although they have been winning lately. That's enough to back them but betting them at a big number still scares me...
