The Florida State Seminoles travel to Duke to play the Blue Devils on Saturday.
Florida State improved to 13-5, 4-2 ACC after beating Notre Dame 76-74 on Tuesday night. The Seminoles shot an impressive 58% from the field and 50% from three-point range. Aaron Thomas score 20 points in his first start of the season as Florida State held on. Ian Miller finished with 11 points and the game winning-shot with 4 seconds left in regulation. On the season, Miller averages a team-high 13.3 points and 3.6 assists per game. Thomas is averaging 13.1 points per game, while Okaro White averages a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. The Seminoles are averaging 73.3 points per game, while shooting a solid 47.9% from the field as a team this season. Florida State is an average rebounding team and they are not a great team when it comes to distributing the ball on offense. Florida State has won four out of the last five games heading into this game. The Seminoles will head out on the road where they are 3-3 on the season.

The Duke Blue Devils improved to 15-4, 4-2 ACC after beating Miami on the road 67-46 on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils shot 42.9% from the field and 32% from behind the arc. Jabari Parker led Duke with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Rodney Hood had 12 points and 6 rebounds, while Amile Jefferson added 8 points and 7 rebounds. On the year, Parker averages a team-high 18.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Hood averages 17.6 points per game, while Quinn Cook averages a team-high 5.6 assists per contest. The Blue Devils are averaging an impressive 81.8 points per game while shooting 48.1% from the field as a team this season. Duke’s biggest weakness is rebounding, averaging only 34.7 boards per game. The Blue Devils are great at distributing the ball on the offensive end of the floor, averaging 15.3 dimes per game. After losing two of three games, the Blue Devils have won three straight in the past week.
Duke seems to playing their best basketball of the year right now, as Parker has fought his way through a mid-year slump and is playing well. Florida has been inconsistent most of the year, but they have played good since entering conference competition. I don’t think Florida State has the talent to hang with the blue Devils in this one. Duke keeps rolling at home.
