The Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to Wake Forest to play the Demon Deacons on Saturday.

Notre Dame shot 47.5% from the field, while allowing Florida State to shoot a whopping 58% from the field in the loss. Eric Atkins led Notre Dame with 24 points while teammate Garrick Sherman finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds. On the year, Sherman leads the Irish with 14.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. The Irish are an averages rebounding team and one of the best when it comes to distributing the basketball, averaging 16.8 assists per game. Notre Dame has gone 1-4 since upsetting Duke a few weeks ago. The Irish will stay on the road for this one where they are 0-4 on the season.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons improved to 13-6, 3-3 ACC after beating Virginia Tech 83-77 on Wednesday night. Wake Forest shot 53.6% from the field and an outstanding 56.3% from behind the arc. Travis McKie scored 24 points, while Codi Miller-McIntyre added 20 for the Demon Deacons, who snapped a 17-game road losing streak in ACC play. In the season, Miller-McIntyre averages a team-high 15.5 points and 4.1 assists per game. Devin Thomas averages 11 points and a team-high 8.6 rebounds per game. The Demon Deacons are shooting 44.7% from the field while averaging 72.5 points per game. Wake Forest is a great rebounding team, averaging 38.8 boards per game. The Demon Deacons have won two out of the last five games overall. Wake Forest will be back home for this game after playing two straight on the road.
Notre Dame has not played well since losing Grant due to academic reasons. The Irish have played their worst on the road and they will have their hands full this weekend. Wake Forest has played well as of late and they are tough to beat at home. I think the Demon Deacons get the win and cover at home on Saturday.
