The Arizona Wildcats and the Utah Utes face off on Sunday in a Pac-12 college basketball battle.
The Arizona Wildccats are the number one ranked team in the nation and they have been mowing down the competition winning every game thus far. Arizona is 13-0 this season and 6-0 in Pac-12 play. Nick Johnson is the Wildcats leading scorer averaging 16.4 points per game. Aaron Gordon is averaging 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds, Brandon Ashley is averaging 12.2 points and 6.1 rebounds, and Kaleb Tarczewski is averaging 9.8 points and 6.7 rebounds. Arizona is averaging 75.5 poitns and they are shooting 49.1 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 56.7 points and their opponents are shooting 37 percent. While Zona has been impressive offensively it has been their defense that has really been the star for them.

The Utah Utes are 3-4 in Pac-12 play this season and they sit in ninth place in the conference standings. Utah is 0-4 away from home this season and they have yet to play a team ranked in the top 25. Jordan Loveridge continues to lead the Utes averaging 16.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Delon Wright is averaging 15.9 points,, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, Brandon Taylor is averaging 10.5 points, and Dakarai Tucker is averaging 8.0 points. Utah is averaging 80.7 points and they are shooting 50.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 62.1 points and their opponents are shooting 39.9 percent. Utah has some solid wins this season but they still have a lot to prove.
Arizona is 6-0 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 17-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 15-5 against the spread in their last 20 home games. Utah is 25-10-1 against the spread against the Pac-12, 15-7-1 against the spread in their last 22 road games, and 20-7 against the spread following a loss. The road team has covered the point spread in six of the last seven meetings of these two.
This is a big number and while Arizona is nearly a sure thing to win outright I like Utah to cover getting the generous number.
