Manhattan shot 42.6 percent from the field and hit just 3 of 13 from distance, but finished with a 42-35 rebounding edge and forced 17 turnovers. Senior G George Beamon scored a game-high 21 points to go along with 9 boards and senior G Michael Alvarado added 12 points and 7 assists. On the season, the Jaspers are averaging 77.7 ppg on 43 percent shooting. Beamon leads the team with 20.1 ppg, followed by Alvarado at 13.9 pg.

Meanwhile, Quinnipiac dropped to 6-3 in the conference after a 95-73 loss to Iona Friday. The Bobcats shot just 24 of 64 from the field and 6 of 21 from distance, while allowing the Gaels to shoot 43.9 percent from the floor and hit 8 of 27 from beyond the arc. Quinnipiac was also outrebounded 45-37 and committed 13 turnovers. Senior F Ike Azotam had a team-high 18 points to go along with a game-high 16 boards and senior G Umar Shannon added 15 points. Through 18 games, the Bobcats are averaging 77.2 ppg on 40.7 percent shooting. Azotam leads the team with 16.4 ppg, followed by Shannon at 13.4.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -11.5, a pretty big number considering Quinnipiac topped Manhattan when these two met Jan. 9. The Jaspers are at home and just trounced Rider, but look for a closer game than the spread.
