Storyline: Hofstra and Towson both try to rebound from losses when the two square off at SECU Arena Monday.
The Breakdown: Hofstra is in a three-way tie for second place in the CAA with a record of 3-2 and come in off a 70-57 loss to Northeastern Saturday. The Pride were outshot from the field 51.9 percent to 40.7 percent and from outside the arc 52.9 percent to 28.6 percent. Hofstra also committed 13 turnovers. Senior G Dion Nesmith scored a team-high 18 points on 7 of 10 shooting and senior F Zeke Upshaw added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Hofstra held a three-point advantage at the half, but Northeastern took the lead for good with under three minutes remaining behind a late 10-2 run. On the season, the Pride are averaging 68.3 ppg on 42.7 percent shooting and Upshaw leads the team with 18.8 ppg, followed by Nesmith at 12.9 ppg.

The Tigers dominated the boards 50-33, but committed 17 turnovers. Senior F Jarelle Benimon had a game-high 29 points and 16 rebounds, and senior F Marcus Damas added 12 points and 6 boards. Through 20 games, Towson is averaging 72.4 ppg on 44.6 percent shooting Benimon leads the team with 18.5 ppg.
