Meanwhile, Eastern Illinois is in third place in the Ohio Valley Conference with a league record of 4-5 and come in off of 77-74 victory over Southeastern Missouri State Saturday. The panthers connected on 28 of 56 from the field and 7 of 13 from outside the arc to the Redhawks’ 42.6 percent from the floor and 4 of 21 from distance. E. Through 20 games, the Panthers are averaging 64.9 ppg on 43.0 percent shooting and Smith leads the team with 13.4 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one currently favors Cleveland State by 9.5 points. The Vikings are averaging significantly more points per outing and shooting at a better clip, but it is a road game. But then again, Cleveland State has had some strong results, in particular a 7-point loss at then #3 Kentucky Nov. 25. Look for the Vikings to cover.
