The 9-9 Air Force Falcons will go back on the road to play the 14-6 Boise State Broncos. Air Force is in its worst slump of the season, losing four of its last five and Boise State is back on track with wins in three of its last four.
The records don’t tell any lies in this game. Air Force is really as mediocre as its record indicates and Boise State is exactly what you consider 12 games above a .500-record.

Air Force is capable of putting the ball in the basket at a high percentage, as it is shooting 47.5 percent from the field on the season. But it also allows the other team to score at will, allowing opponents to shoot 45.1 percent from the field. The Falcons will allow you to score more 73 points, and they just hope to score 74.
Oddly enough, Boise State is pretty much the same way, but it’s a team that shoots even better than Air Force. The Broncos are averaging close to 79 points per game, shoot 37.6 percent from downtown and have three players who are capable of going off any night. In their last five games, though, they’re allowing teams to shoot 45 percent from the field.
You have to give Boise State the slight edge for being at home, a place where it is 10-1 straight up this season. But I see this game being closer to a toss-up. Both teams can go on crazy scoring runs and neither likes to get its hands dirty defensively.
I’ll take the road dog in Air Force.
The Falcons are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games and are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games following a straight up loss.
Double digits is simply too much.
