The Line: Drake Bulldogs -3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Missouri State will put its two-game winning streak on the line Wednesday night when it travels to Drake. The Bulldogs have been an absolute mess, losing six of their last seven games. The Bears are back to their winning ways and will look to turn their luck around on the road.
The Bulldogs haven’t been able to catch a break ever since Gary Ricks Jr. went down with a foot injury. They’ve been beaten up by many of the mediocre teams in the Missouri Valley Conference and are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. A lot of pressure is on Richard Carter and Jordan Daniels to handle the scoring duties and they have been real inconsistent as of late.
The Bears are another middle of the road team that hasn’t been playing all that great. In their last five games, they’re allowing teams to shoot 47.8 percent from the field and is averaging less than 70 points offensively. They have also lost three of their last road games straight up.
From a spread perspective neither team has a real advantage. Missouri State is 7-7 against the number this year, while Drake is 9-9. However, the Bulldogs have been absolutely terrible against the spread as of late and the Bears are 4-0 against the spread in their last four meetings against Drake.
The outcome of this game wouldn’t surprise me either way, but I have to go with the slightly better team in Missouri State, especially with the points.
