The North Carolina State Wolfpack improved to 13-7, 3-4 ACC after beating Georgia Tech at home in overtime 80-78 on Sunday. The Wolfpack shot an impressive 53.3% from the field and 38.5% from behind the arc, but only shot 55% from the charity stripe. T.J. Warren led the Wolfpack with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Ralston Turner finished with 12 points, Desmond Lee had 11 points and Tyler Lewis scored all 10 of his in the second half on Sunday. On the season, Warren leads the Wolfpack with 22.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Anthony Barber averages a second-best 11.1 points per game while also averaging a team-high 4.2 assists. NC State is shooting 46.3% from the field and is scoring 71.9 points per game on average as a team this season. The Wolfpack are an average rebounding team, pulling down 35.7 boards per contest. After losing three straight games in conference play, the Wolfpack have bounced back with two straight wins at home. NC State will try to make it three straight wins at home on Wednesday night.
North Carolina State has not played well against the elite teams of the ACC so far this season. Florida State may not be an elite team in the conference, but in my opinion they are better than the Wolfpack. Florida State will frustrate NC State on defense and will rebound the ball well after getting dominated on the glass last weekend. I think the Seminoles win and cover on the road.
