The Central Michigan Chippewas go on the road to face a tough Ohio Bobcats squad.
Central Michigan might be in desperation mode right now as they bring an 0-6 mark to Ohio on Wednesday. Teams have been scoring on the Chips and the once feared offense has struggled which is bad news for the win column. CMU put together a solid scoring nigh versus Akron but the visitors were better in an 82-74 decision. The Zips won the shooting battle 52%-47% with 12 long balls carrying the day. Blake Hibbits was high scorer with 21 points and six yanks with Chris Fowler posting 20 points and five helpers followed by a 15 point effort from Austin Keel.

Ohio can be a bit up and down at times but all indications is this is a team capable of winning the MAC. The Bobcats rode a huge rally in the closing minutes to edge Eastern Michigan 58-56 on Saturday to improve to 4-2 in the conference. The Bobcats defense saved the day by holding the Eagles to 34.5% which was needed with their own offense connecting at 33% but winning it on the strength of a 10-28 performance from beyond the arc. Stevie Taylor was high man in scoring with 15 points in 16 minutes before fouling out. The duo of Nick Kellogg and Javarez Willis tossed in 12 points apiece as this trio went 18-29 from the field.
Ohio is the better squad but look as if they have taken a step back while Central Michigan might have gotten a bit better. The Bobcats are still very dangerous and either struggle to a win or win big but are somewhat of a guess right now...
