Meanwhile, Oakland sits in 6th place in the conference at a record of 3-4, lifted to 76-75 victory over Illinois-Chicago Saturday by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from senior F Duke Mondy. The Golden Grizzlies were outshot from the field 56.0 percent to 47.4 percent and from distance 50.0 percent to 30.4 percent, but forced 22 turnovers, four of which came in the last six minutes and led to eight points. Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -3.5 for Oakland. This is the first meeting between these two this season and as far as common opponents, there’s not that much to drawn on. The Golden Grizzlies did play a much tougher nonconference schedule and therefore have better losses, most notably a narrow 67-63 loss to then #5 Michigan State last month. Look for Oakland to cover.
