The Auburn Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday at Auburn Arena in SEC college basketball.
The Auburn Tigers got their first SEC win of the year on Thursday knocking off archrival Alabama in a 19-point blowout. Auburn is still 1-6 in the SEC and are 9-3 at home this season having played the 102nd ranked schedule in the nation. Chris Denson leads the Tigers averaging 19.6 points per game. K.T. Harrell is averaging 19.3 points, Tahj Shamsid-Deen is averaging 8.7 points, and Allen Payne is averaging 7.1 points. Auburn is averaging 73.3 points and they are shooting 45.1 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 71.3 points and their opponents are shooting 42.9 percent. Auburn is 9-9 overall this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs have lost back-to-back games for the first time this year since starting their SEC schedule and sit at 4-3 in conference play this year. Georgia is tied for fourth place in the SEC and they are 1-7 away from home this season. Charles Mann leads the Bulldogs averaging 13.3 points per game. Kenny Gaines is averaging 12 points, Nemanja Djurisic is averaging 10.1 points, and Brandon Morris is averaging 9.6 points. Georgia is averaging 69.4 points and they are shooting 43.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.6 points and their opponents are shooting 40.8 percent. Georgia has played the 80th ranked schedule in the country.
Auburn is 8-2 against the spread following a win, 7-16 against the spread in their last 23 games overall, and 3-13 against the spread against the SEC. Georgia is 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 road games, 16-5 against the spread against the SEC, and 21-10 against the spread in their last 31 games. The home team has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.
Georgia hasn’t played well of late but despite Auburn getting into the win column in the SEC I like the Dawgs here.
