The Chattanooga Mocs hope to get back in the win column when the Furman Paladins take the floor.
Defensive struggles have hurt Furman in 2013-14 more then anything with over 75 points allowed which is way too much for their offense to compete with. Neither end of the floor stood out in a 76-52 loss to visiting Wofford who outscored the home team 39-23 to win going away. The Paladins hit at 41% which fell well short of the Terriers 47.5% accuracy with 16 turnovers helping to 17 more looks at the basket. Stephen Croone paced a trio of double digit scorers with 15 points followed by Charlie Reddick and Kendrec Ferrera netting 12 and ten points with Reddick totaling seven rebounds.

Chattanooga might have been one of the surprises in the SoCon thus far as they rode the #55 offense right to the top of the conference with an 8-0 record. That was before a surging Davidson flexed some muscle with a one sided 94-51 decision to move in to a first place tie with the Mocs. The boxscore tells the story with the Wildcats appoaching 60% marksmanship with the Mocs limited to 32.7%. With 14 giveaways helping the home team to 22 more attempts it's easy to figure out the scoreboard. Casey Jones was the only reliable scorer for the Mocs with 20 points and nine rebounds on 7-12 shooting while Zaccheus Mason and Ronrico White posted seven points each.
Chattanooga was looking good but ran in to a red hot Davidson so the question is whether they have a hangover from that or not. The Mocs or walk away for me...
