Clemson managed to get to the charity stripe 25 times and they made 76% of their attempts. K.J. McDaniels scored a team-high 13 points and also pulled down a team-high 9 rebounds for the Tigers. Florida State dropped to 13-7, 4-4 ACC after losing at North Carolina State 74-70 on Wednesday night. The Seminoles shot 42.9% from the field and 36.8% from three-point range, but could only hit 57.7% of their 27 attempts from the free throw line on Wednesday. Okaro White led Florida State with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Ian Miller added 17 points and Aaron Thomas chipped in with 12 for the Seminoles. On the season, Miller leads the Seminoles with 13.1 points and 3.4 assists per game. Thomas is averaging 12.5 points per game, while White averages a team-high 6.9 rebounds. The Seminoles are averaging 72.4 points per game while shooting 48% from the field. Florida State is an average rebounding team, grabbing 36.2 boards per game. Florida State will head back home after lost two straight on the road and three of their last four games overall. The Seminoles have only lost one game at home this year and that loss came against a solid Virginia squad.
Both of these teams have struggled over the past week in conference play and will be looking to get back on track Saturday afternoon. I think these two teams are pretty evenly matched, but I’m going to side with the road team to cover on Saturday.
