The struggling Central Florida Knights look for their second conference win when they face Louisville.
Time is not on the side of Central Florida who have dropped five consecutive conference games to fall to 1-6 in the AAC. Stranger things have happened but if the season ended today the Knights would be closer to the bottom of the standings then the top. UCF seemed to have Memphis reeling a bit before tailing off late in a 69-58 loss on Wednesday. The defense allowed 51% marksmanship and saw the Tigers sink eleven more free throws while responding with under 40% shooting of their own. Isaiah Sykes was the go to scorer with 24 points and 12 rebounds with 13 points coming from Matt Williams.

Louisville had their shot at grabbing a share of first in the AAC with conference leader Cincinnati dropping by the KFC Yum! Center but it was the Bearcats that rose to the occasion with 69-66 decision. The Cardinals were nine point favorites but played from behind from start to finish with the Bearcats hitting at 49% from the field and owning a +10 on the backboards. The visitors also held a 17-8 advantage at the charity stripe which was decisive in the closing minutes of a close contest. Montrezl Harrell did his part with a team high 18 points and six yanks with Luke Hancock and Russ Smith tossing in 16 points each while Terry Rozier chipped in another ten points.
I think the question here is whether Louisville comes out firing on all cylinders or just does enough to win. Clearly the better team but the spread makes this a guess in my view...
