Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The Northwestern Wildcats have won three of their last four games raise their record to 4-5 in the Pac-12. Northwestern is 3-6 away from home and they have played the 34th ranked schedule in the country. Drew Crawford is the leader of the Wildcats averaging 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds. JerShonn Cobb is averaging 11.2 points, Tre Demps is averaging 10.7 points, and Alex Olah is averaging 8.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. Northwestern is averaging 61.6 points and they are shooting 39.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 63.7 points and their opponents are shooting 40.1 percent. Northwestern is playing their best basketball of the season.

Minnesota is 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 Big Ten games, 4-10-1 against the spread in their last 15 games overall, and 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four home games against a team with a losing road record. Northwestern is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games, 2-9 against the spread following a win, and 2-6 against the spread in their last eight road games against a team with a winning home record. The home team has covered the point spread in eight of the last nine meetings of these two.

This is a case of simply too many points as Northwestern is playing well and Minnesota is solid but not worthy of this number.
