Pepperdine, meanwhile, dropped to 5-5 for 5th place in the conference after losing its second straight 76-66 to Pacific Saturday. The Waves were outshot from the floor 56.0 percent to 42.1 percent and from outside the arc 50.09 percent to 23.5 percent. Pepperdine was also outrebounded 32-29 and committed 17 turnovers. Junior G Malcolm Brooks and sophomore F Stacy Davis each scored a team-high 12 points, while freshman G Amadi Udenyi added 11 points on 5 of 9 shooting. Through 22 games, the Waves are averaging 71.7 ppg on 46.3 percent shooting. Davis leads the team in scoring with 14.7 ppg, followed by senior Brendan Lane at 13.9 ppg.

Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -4 for Pepperdine. These two haven’t faced off yet, but both have a good win over BYU and although Loyola had a tougher nonconference schedule, Pepperdine gets the lean simply because they’re playing at home.
