The Line: San Diego State Aztecs -13.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Colorado State will make the unfortunate trip to San Diego State to play the Aztecs on Saturday night. The Rams have lost three of their last four and the Aztecs still have not lost a game since losing to Arizona the second game of the season.
These two teams met earlier in the year and San Diego State won 71-61. The Rams were held to just 38.5 percent shooting and made only three shots beyond the arc out of 14 attempts.

That Aztecs defense hasn’t let up all season long, allowing teams to shoot just barely over 40 percent and average only 60 points in their last five games. The defense is the reason for the 7-0 conference record but the offense has also played well, including Xavier Thames, who is coming off a 31-point performance in a win over Utah State.
The Rams are only shooting 39 percent from the field in their last five games, which is a drastic drop off from the 43.3 percent they’re averaging on the season. However, the defense keeps them in games which is the reason only one of their last six losses was decided by double digits.
I know San Diego State is great at home and holds a 9-1 SU home record, but it’s only 3-4 against the spread in front of its home fans, including 1-2 in its last three. Colorado State’s offense has to wake up at some point and there’s no better time than against a rival that has won four of the last five meetings.
The Rams continue to play close games and I don’t expect that to change. Give me the road team and the points in this Mountain West showdown.
