The Line: Wisc-Milwaukee Panthers -2.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
For the second time this season, Oakland and Milwaukee will square off in a battle between two Horizon League opponents. The previous meeting took place in early January, and Milwaukee ended up winning the game 84-75.
Since then, both teams have been a little inconsistent. Oakland has lost two of its last five and Milwaukee has lost four of its last five. With a combined conference record of 8-9, both teams are in the middle of the pack.

While the Golden Grizzlies have been winning games recently, they haven’t exactly been playing better. In their last five games, they’re shooting 43.3 percent from the field and allowing opponents to knock down 52.8 percent. They truly struggle defensively and have won their last two games by one-point each.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee is still playing solid defense but can’t get the offense going. It’s holding teams to just 71.5 points per game on the season, but in its last five games it is averaging just 61.6 points of offense. The defense can be great but it doesn’t matter much if you can’t put the ball in the hoop.
The Panthers won the first meeting and you have to like them again at home. Oakland doesn’t understand defensive concepts and that should help Milwaukee break out of its offensive funk. Milwaukee is also 12-9 against the spread this season, while Oakland is 3-9 against the number on the road, including 1-4 in its last five road games.
I’ll take the Panthers to cover the small chalk on their home floor of the Klotsche Center.
