The Ole Miss Rebels are 6-2 in the SEC this season and tied with Kentucky for second place in the conference standings. Mississippi is 6-3 away from home and this will be their first game against a team ranked in the top 25. Marshall Henderson leads the Rebels averaging 19.2 points per game. Jarvis Summers is averaging 17.8 points, Derrick Millinghaus is averaging 8.3 points, and LaDarius White is averaging 7.9 points. Ole Miss is averaging 77.5 points and they are shooting 42.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 71.1 points and their opponents are shooting 40.9 percent. Ole Miss were blasted in their last road game losing at Tennessee by 16.
Kentucky is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a winning road record, and 4-10-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread. Ole Miss is 2-6-1 against the spread following a win and 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against Kentucky. The underdog has covered the point spread in the last five meetings of these two.
This is a ton of points but when Ole Miss bombs out they fall hard and this could be one of those spots. I look for the Cats to cover but I don’t love this one.
