The Line: Air Force Falcons +1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
It’s going to be a battle between two struggling Mountain West teams when Fresno State makes its way to Air Force. The Bulldogs have lost five of their last six games and the Falcons are currently riding a four-game losing streak.
Something has got to give!

These two teams met earlier in the season and the Bulldogs won 71-65.
The Bulldogs are losing games because they struggle to play any type of defense. In their last five games they’re allowing teams to score 78 points and shoot 45 percent from the field, which is about what their average is on the season. They have also made less than 70 percent of their free throws during those games, which doesn’t help when their last two losses have gone into overtime.
The Falcons are holding teams under 70 points during their losing streak, but they’re finding it difficult to put the ball in the hoop. In their last five games they’re averaging just 63.6 points and shooting just 43.4 percent from the field. That’s a significant drop off from a team that’s averaging 70.7 points and shooting 46.4 percent on the season.
Air Force needs Tre’ Coggins to play in this game if it is to have any shot. The leading scorer was recently suspended for violating team rules and is questionable for this matchup.
Assuming he plays, I like the Falcons to earn a tough win at home. This is a team that is 10-5 against the spread this season and 5-3 ATS at home, while Fresno State is just 5-4-1 ATS on the road. The Bulldogs are also 1-9 SU on the road this season.
Give me the hungrier team to pull out a victory late in the second half.
