The Line: Colorado State Rams +1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
UNLV and Colorado State will clash in an underrated Mountain West battle Wednesday night. The Rebels have won four straight, while the Rams have been in a funk recently with losses in four of their last five games.
This game is likely going to come down to which team can rebound the basketball better. UNLV is averaging 41.3 boards per game and Colorado State snags 38.2 rebounds per game. The big boys are going to get their hands dirty and whichever team can win in the paint will come away with a victory.

The Rebels have not only scored at least 70 points in three straight games, but their defense has turned it up a couple of notches. Already a great defensive team, they’re allowing only 36 percent shooting and 58.6 points in their last five games. Every shot is being contested, which is why they’ve allowed only one team to top 70 points in their last five games and that matchup went into overtime.
The Rams have also been a solid defensive team and that’s remained true during the losing streak. The problem is the offense that is shooting just 36.7 percent in the last five games and making only 23.6 percent of shots from downtown. Colorado State usually makes 31.6 percent of its long balls.
This matchup being made pretty much a toss-up by the odds makers is a real steal for me. UNLV is an elite level defense and should continue to harp on Colorado State’s offensive struggles. The Rebels are also 6-1 against the spread on the road, while the Rams are 4-11-1 ATS overall this season.
Colorado State doesn’t have the horses to win this game at home. Not to mention the favorite is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
