The Cornell Big Red will take on the Pennsylvania Quakers in a Friday night college basketball game that really shouldn’t even be on your radar. These two teams are a combined 5-30 on the season.
The Big Red have lost four straight and are absolutely brutal on both ends of the court. They shoot 41.5 percent from the field and score barely 65 points per game. Defensively, they allow 78.9 points on 48.6 percent shooting. About the only positive news with this team is that they are coming off a road matchup against Yale in which they only lost by four points. Sophomore guard Nolan Cressler is coming off a 29-point performance.

The Quakers have lost two straight and 10 of their last 12 games. They’re shooting 44 percent from the field and averaging nearly 70 points. Defensively they’re just as bad as the Big Red, allowing 77.5 points and teams to shoot above 40 percent from beyond the arc.
This game really isn’t worth the headaches.
Cornell is 6-4-1 against the spread, while Pennsylvania is 5-9 ATS. On the road, Cornell is 5-3-1 ATS and Pennsylvania is 2-4 ATS at home. If you must pick this game, you have to go with the Big Red considering they’re getting the points. In a lousy matchup between two lousy teams, you always take the points.
Not to mention the road team is 4-0-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams and Cornell has won six of the last 10 meetings SU.
