The Duke Blue Devils head to Boston College to play the Eagles on Saturday night.
The Duke Blue Devils improved to 18-5, 7-3 ACC after blowing out Wake Forest 83-63 on Tuesday night. On the year, Jabari Parker is averaging a team-high 18.7 points and 8.2 rebounds. Parker went through a minor slump back in late December and early January, but he has since hit his stride and is playing great basketball. Rodney Hood is averaging a second-best 16.9 points per game, while Quinn Cook leads the Blue Devils in assists with 5.3 a game. Duke’s offensive production has been impressive all year, averaging 81.9 points per game while shooting 47.2% from the field as a team this season. Duke’s biggest weakness coming into the season was size in the front court which led to poor rebounding. The Blue Devils have improved their rebounding and average 34.9 boards per game. Duke had won five straight in conference play before losing in overtime to Syracuse last weekend. The Blue Devils will hit the road for this game; Duke is 2-3 on the road this season.

The Boston College Eagles dropped to 6-16, 2-7 ACC after losing at Virginia 77-67 on Wednesday night. On the season, Olivier Hanlan is averaging a team-high 17.7 points per game while also chipping in with 2.9 assists per contest. Ryan Anderson is averaging 15.2 points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds per game. Joe Rahon is averaging 9.5 points and a team-high 3.3 assists per game. The Eagles are shooting 44.8% from the field while averaging only 69.9 points per game. Boston College is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, averaging just over 30 boards per game. The Eagles have struggled in conference play and have lost five out of their last six contests. Boston College will be at home for this game against Duke; the Eagles have lost three out of their last four games at home.
This game should get ugly from the start unless Duke has some sort of letdown. Duke will pressure the perimeter to force the Boston College shooters to drive to the basket. Meanwhile, the Blue Devils should find it pretty easy to score against a Boston College team that has allowed a boat load of points this season. Duke rolls on the road and wins big.
