The Line: La Salle Explorers +3.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

TV: ESPN2

The Saint Louis Billikens will finish up their two-game road trip when they take on the La Salle Explorers. They still haven’t lost since the first of December, while the Explorers have lost four of their last five games.

Although Saint Louis doesn’t receive much national attention, it’s playing as good as anybody in the country. It shoots nearly 44 percent from the field, averages 71.2 points on offense, while keeping teams under 60 points on 39.2 percent shooting. Seriously, only two teams in the Billikens last 11 games have scored above 60 points. Offensively, senior forward Rob Loe has scored in the double figures in four straight games.

La Salle Explorers vs. Saint Louis Billikens - 2/8/14

La Salle hasn’t been winning much but that’s what happens when you play the best of the Atlantic 10 back-to-back. The Explorers have lost to VCU, George Washington and Massachusetts during their losing stretch. During those games, they’re shooting 36.8 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from beyond the arc. Averaging just 65 points during their last five games doesn’t bode well going up against an elite defense. Speaking of defense, La Salle allows 69.1 points on 43.2 percent shooting on the season.

La Salle is 4-14-1 against the spread this season and 1-6-1 ATS at home. Meanwhile, Saint Louis is 4-0 ATS in its last four games played in La Salle.

If the Explorers couldn’t keep up against previous competition, there’s no way they’ll be able to against arguably the best team in the Atlantic 10.
