Minnesota and Indiana face off on Saturday in Big Ten hoops.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Indiana Hoosiers face off on Saturday at Williams Arena in Big Ten college basketball.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have lost their last three games in a row and four of their last five as they are watching their NCAA Tournament hopes slide away. Minnesota is 4-6 in the Big Ten and they are 12-2 at home this season. Andre Holins is averaging 15.1 points to lead the Golden Gophers. Austin Hollins is averaging 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds, Deandre Mathieu is averaging 11.7 points, and Malik Smith is averaging 10.1 points. Minnesota is averaging 74.5 points and they are shooting 44.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.2 points and their opponents are shooting 42.2 percent. Minnesota is tied for eighth place in the Big Ten.

The Indiana Hoosiers have won two of their last three games as they look to make a final month push. Indiana is 2-6 away fro home and they are in seventh place in the Big 10. Kevin Yogi Ferrell is Indiana’s leading scorer averaging 17.8 points per game. Noah Vonleh is averaging 11.7 points and 9.4 rebounds, Will Sheehy is averaging 10 points, and Jeremy Hollowell is averaging 6.8 points. Indiana is averaging 74.8 points and they are allotting 45 percent while defensively they are allowing 66.1 points and their opponents are shooting 40 percent. Indiana is coming off of their biggest win of the year knocking off Michigan.

Minnesota is 2-5-1 against the spread in their last eight home games, 3-9 against the spread against the Big Ten, and 4-11-1 against the spread in their last 16 games. Indiana is 5-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games, and 1-4-1 against the spread following a win. The underdog is 17-5 against the spread in the last 22 meetings of these two.

My free pick in this game is going to be on the total and at 137 I like the under. My stronger pick is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area and on the App.

Mitch's Pick: Under 137
