The Northeastern Huskies hope to send the Matthews Arena crowd home with a win over the William & Mary Tribe.
William & Mary isn't in a bad spot in the CAA with a 6-3 record and third place but there still isn't a lot of wiggle room with several teams within a few games. If the Tribe continue to take care of business the way they have it's a non issue. W&M went on the road and knocked off North Carolina-Wilmington by a 54-50 count as the Seahawks slowed the psce to control the visitors scoring. Both teams struggled from the field but William & Mary sank more threes and led 7-1 at the line to win. Marcus Thornton tossed in a game high 19 points with Tim Rusthoven adding ten followed by nine point efforts from Brandon Britt and Omar Prewitt.

Northeastern likes to keep things on the slower side because putting the ball in the baskets and matching scores with opponents are not strengths. However, the Huskies showed a little bit of run gun in Wednesday night's 81-73 decion against Hofstra behind almost 56% marksmanship. The Pride stayed competive despite 40% from the floor with 18 more looks at the basket but eventually a 23-11 deficit at the charity stripe was a mountain that could not be climbed. David Walker and Reggie Spencer dropped 15 points each with Spencer snaring eight boards while Zach Stahl tossed in 13. Demetrius Pollard and TJ Williams netted 12 points each with Scott Eatherton chipping in with 11 points and eleven rebounds.
Northeastern can be a bit unpredictable but they are very good when they bring their A game. I think William & Mary needs this more then anyone and I will back the points...
