Meanwhile, Valparaiso is third in the conference with a record of 6-4 and come in off a 59-57 loss to Detroit Friday. The Crusaders outshot Detroit from the field 40.4 percent to 38.0 percent, but were topped from outside the arc 50.0 percent to 27.8 percent. Valpo also conceded a 37-30 rebounding advantage and committed 15 turnovers. Freshman F Alec Peters scored a team-high 16 points on 7 of 12 shooting and senior G LaVonte Dority added 13 points, 4 boards and 4 assists. Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -7 for Valpo. Oakland edged the Crusaders at home a month ago, but look for Valpo to rebound and inch closer to Cleveland State in second place in the conference, but in a closer game than the line.
