The Miami Hurricanes travel to Florida State to play the Seminoles on Monday night.
The Miami Hurricanes dropped to 11-12, 2-8 ACC after losing to North Carolina State 56-55 on Saturday. On the season, Rion Brown leads the Hurricanes in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game, the only player averaging in double-figures for Miami this season. Brown is also averaging a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game. Garrius Adams is averaging a second-best 9.8 points per game while averaging a team-high 2.8 assists per contest. The Hurricanes are only averaging 61.3 points per game while shooting 41.7% from the field, both rank near the bottom in the country. Miami is an average rebounding team and they are awful when it comes to distributing the basketball on the offensive end of the floor. The Hurricanes have now lost two in a row and five of their last six heading into this matchup on Monday. Miami will be on the road where they are 5-3 on the year.

The Florida State Seminoles dropped to 14-9, 5-6 ACC after losing at Maryland 83-71 on Saturday. On the year, sophomore Aaron Thomas leads the Seminoles with 13 points per game. Okaro White is averaging a second-best 12.7 points per game while also averaging a team-high 6.8 rebounds per contest. Senior Ian Miller is averaging 12.7 points per game as well and he also averages a team-high 3.2 assists per game. The Seminoles average 71.1 points per game while shooting an impressive 47% from the field as a team this season. Florida State is an average rebounding team at best, pulling down 35.9 boards per game. The Seminoles have lost four out of their last five games with three of them coming on the road.
Florida State has not played well on the road but thankfully for them they will be at home on Monday night. Miami has a good record on the road but the Hurricanes are just an average team at best this year. This should be a competitive game for most of the night but I think Florida State will pull away late and get the cover.
