The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ole Miss Rebels face off on Tuesday in Coleman Coliseum in SEC college basketball.
The Alabama Crimson Tide have lost four games in a row and they are tied for 11th place in the SEC standings. Alabama is 9-4 at home this season and 3-7 in the SEC having layed the second toughest schedule in the nation. Trevor Releford is averaging 18.3 points per game to lead the Crimson Tide. Retin Obasohan is averaging 11.2 points, Levi Randolph is averaging 8.5 points, and Nick Jacobs is averaging 8.3 points. Alabama is averaging 68.8 points and they are shooting 44.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.1 points and their opponents are shooting 42.8 percent. Alabama is one of just two teams in the SEC with a losing record.

The Ole Miss Rebels are all alone in third place in the SEC and while they have gone 2-2 in their last four games they have their eye on a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Mississippi is 7-3 in the SEC and 6-4 away from home this season. Marshall Henderson continues to lead the Rebels averaging 19.6 points per game. Jarvis Summers is averaging 17.4 points, LaDarius White is averaging 8.3 points, and Derrick Millinghaus is averaging 7.9 points. Ole Miss is averaging 77.5 points and they are shooting 43 percent while defensively they are allowing 72.3 points and their opponents are shooting 41.6 percent. Both of Ole Miss’s recent losses have been on the road.
Alabama is 4-11-1 against the spread in their last 16 games, 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven home games, and 4-10-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Mississippi is 2-7-1 against the spread following a win, 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, and 5-1 against the spread following a game they scored 90 or more points. The underdog is 7-2-1 against the spread in the last 10 meetings of these two.
This one looks like a sicker line but I will take the bait with the dog.
