The Line: Colorado State Rams -4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Utah State Aggies and Colorado State Rams will clash in a Mountain West showdown Tuesday night. These teams played each other earlier in the year and Utah State won 57-50.
The Aggies are coming off two consecutive victories, including an impressive win on Saturday against the Boise State Broncos. They shot an unbelievable 56.9 percent from the field and held an explosive Broncos offense to under 40 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Utah State is averaging 71.8 points per game on offense and holding teams to 66.8 points per game on defense. The Aggies are 12-8-1 against the spread and 4-5 ATS on the road.

The Rams have won two games in a row, recently snapping a three-game losing streak. During that time they’re shooting 38.9 percent from the field and averaging 66.4 points, which is far lower than the 43.1 percent and 73.9 points they average on the season. Defensively they have allowed 64.4 points on 41 percent shooting, which is pretty much the season average for the Rams. Their against the spread record has been just as bad as their offense, as they are 6-11-1 and 3-7 at home against the number.
This spread is mighty interesting considering the Aggies are coming off a solid win and playing solid on both sides of the ball, while the Rams have struggled the past couple of weeks. If the shots continue to fall for Utah State, this game won’t even be close given the way Colorado State has struggled offensively.
The Aggies are a terrible 2-5 SU on the road, while Colorado State is 12-4 SU at home. The records say the Rams are the pick, but the numbers and recent play side with the Aggies.
I’ll take the hotter team and the points on the road.
