The Ball State Cardinals look for their second conference win when the Eastern Michigan Eagles visit.
If Eastern Michigan is to become a player in the MAC the time is now to begin stringing the wins together. The Eagles are in sixth place with a 5-5 record after rolling Kent State 70-53 on Saturday behind strong performances at both ends of the floor. The defense allowed just 34.5% shooting and forced 16 turnovers while EMU connected at almost 45% and turned 27 Golden Flashes personals in to a 23-23 advantage at the line. Ray Lee and Darrel Combs provided the Eagles attack with 15 points each with Karrington Ward tossing in ten followed by Glenn Bryant who chipped in with eight.

We have seen Ball State involved in just about every type of game from being routed to nailbiters and some where they were competitive in and simply faded. The common thread is that these games are going in to the loss column with the Cardinals sharing the conference basement with Central Michigan with a 1-9 record. The offense is struggling to put up points to give the defensive end of the floor something to work with although the scoring was up in an 80-73 loss to visiting Toledo that extended their slide to six. The Rockets didn't have a problem finding the bottom of the basket at 49% but the Cardinals did at 39% while giving the ball away 21 times. Leading scorer Zavier Turner tossed in 19 points with Majok Majok adding 17 and eleven rebounds followed by Chris Bond with 12 points and six yanks.
Eastern Michigan has to be on their toes because Ball State comes up big on occasion. Having said that do you want to lay road chalk with the Eagles? Very dangerous...
