The Buffalo Bulls head out on the road to face the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks at John D. Millet Hall.
Buffalo is one of the more improved teams in the conference at 7-3 which is good for a three way tie for third. The Bulls have been consistent at both ends of the floor although they don't stand out in any category. Both units have had a hand in winning four of five after a 79-70 decision at Central Michigan on Saturday. UB led by three going in to the second half before holding off a few Chippewas rallies behind nearly 52% marksmanship and a 14-17 effort at the stripe. The defense limited CMU to under 41% accuracy although eleven bombs kept the home team afloat. Javon McCrea was a man among boys with 25 points and 20 rebounds with Shannon Evans tossing in 19 while Josh Freelove and Jarod Oldham combined for 21.

Miami (Ohio) doesn't have a big time offense to bail them out when the defense struggles and it certainly didn't appear anything would get in their way after jumping to a 47-32 first half lead at Ohio on Saturday. Unfortunately the Bobcats put together a perfect 20 minutes with a dramatic come back to win 82-75 which was probably as devastating a loss as I've seen in the MAC the entire season thus far. At the final gun Ohio's 52.7 shooting accounted for a few more baskets over the Redhawks 47% mark. Will Felder and Bill Edwards did plenty of damage on the scoreboard with 19 points apiece with a combined 14 rebounds followed by Jaryd Eustace with 14. The entire eight man rotation scored with seven seeng at least 21 minutes of floor time.
Looking at the numbers it would be easy to say take Buffalo because of the better numbers. I wish it was so easy but this one looks fishy to me...
