The Curb Event Center and the Belmont Bruins host the Tennessee State Tigers in an OVC battle.
It's been a painful start for the rebuilding process of Tennessee State with three wins telling us as much. Both ends of the floor have struggled throughout and that trend continued in a 73-65 loss to visiting Murray State. The Racers led by nine at the half but to the Tigers credit they hung tough until the end. The Racers 51% marksmanship was the key number with the home team connecting at 44% which added up to four more field goals. Patrick Miller led the offense with a contest best 26 points with Kennedy Eubanks dropping 13 points and grabbing seven boards while MV Rhett added ten points and ten rebounds.

Belmont went from a team that can score and defend to one that runs the floor and scores for 40 minutes. It's hard to argue with their success with another 20 win season a foregone conclusion. When the shots are falling opponents are forced to match scores and Austin Peay didn't in a 93-68 loss. The Governors were held to less then 42% and forced in to 15 turnovers which gave the 53% shooting Bruins eleven more looks at the basket which was game over with Belmont sinkin 13 bombs. JJ Mann paced the scoring spree with 28 points with a 13 point, seven pull and ten assist effort from Reece Chamberlain. Evan Bradds tossed in 12 points followed by the duo of Blake Jenkins and Craig Bradshaw with 21 points.
Big spread here and it's probably merited with the vast difference between these teams. Tennessee State has zero chance of winning and a slightly better chance at covering. I am not getting involved at all so all I'll say is the Tigers lone shot at a cover depends on the good graces of the Bruins...
