The struggling Ball State Cardinals hope the Worthen Arena crowd spurs them on to a victory over Bowling Green.
I know Bowling Green is not going to win the MAC title but I admire the way they battle even though the results haven't always worked out in their favor. It was another close but no cigar type performance in a 62-61 loss at Kent State were they led the entire game except at the end. The Falcons held a slight shooting edge 46%-40% which actually favored the Golden Flashes who owne a 9-4 advantage on threes. Cameron Black and Jehvon Clarke were the rocks of the Falcons attack with 18 points each with Black snagging nine rebounds with Anthony Anderson tossing in 12 points and posting eight boards.

Ball State is obviously struggling with most of the blame falling on the shoulders of the offense which haven't been able to score consistently. The Cardinals have reached the 70 point plateau once during a six game slide that was capped off by a 73-62 defeat at the hands of visiting Eastern Michigan. The Eagles took a six point lead at the break and slowly pulled awaywith 46% shooting and 17 more free throws bettering the Cardinals 40% accuracy and ten bombs. Jesse Barry gave the offense 17 points including a 5-10 mark from distance with Zavier Turner adding 15 points and eight helpers while Chris Bond and Kindon Crowder tossed in 12 and ten points with Bond grabbing nine boards.
I have said many times that I like what I have seen from Bowling Green and I haven't changed my tune. I am favoring the Redhawks even though it's tough to win on the road in the MAC...
