The Cleveland State Vikings host the Green Bay Phoenix with first in the Horizon on the line.
The way Green Bay began the year they looked like the king of the Horizon which could still happen since they currently sit atop the conference with a 10-2 mark. Their balance is second to none in the league and after a few setbacks in recent weeks the Phoenix took out some frustration on Youngstown State when they delivered a 71-40 beating on the Penguins own floor on Thursday. A 16 point lead after 20 minutes built on nearly 55% marksmanship ended this with YSU only able to muster 33% from the floor. Alec Brown pumped in a game high 24 points with Keifer Sykes adding 14 points while nine players found the scoring column.

A hard charging Cleveland State is riding the wave of seven consecutive victories which is quite a feat but even more impressive considering five wins came on the road. The Vikings appeared to be a bit sluggish in the first half versus Illinois-Chicago with only a five point lead over the visitors before storming to a 73-53 decision on Thursday. The Vikings sank half their shots including a 10-18 performance from long range while the Flames were limited to 35% from the field. Cleveland State received 18 points from Trey Lewis who sank 4-5 threes while Bryn Forbes and Jon Harris tossed in 15 points each with Harris snagging nine boards followed by a 12 point effort from Anton Grady.
In my view one of these teams will win the conference and for this one I am gravitating to the home team who has been outstanding. I'll back the hotter team in a coin flip...
