The Massachusetts Minutemen will go on the road to play the George Washington Colonials.
The Minutemen have lost three of their last five games, including an embarrassing 91-80 loss to George Mason. Despite shooting 47.1 percent in their last five games, they just haven’t been able to dodge the constant double-digit turnovers. They remain sloppy with the basketball and are allowing teams to shoot 39.7 percent from beyond the arc. George Mason is the worst team in the Atlantic 10 and it scored 91 points. Yikes. The Minutemen are still 14-10 ATS and 9-4 ATS on the road.

The Colonials are also coming off of a loss, but theirs was a road loss to VCU. Road games haven’t been kind to them all season, but they remain 12-0 SU on their home court. At home they shoot 51.4 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc, while holding opponents to just 61.8 points. On the season they allow 66.5 points on 40.6 percent shooting. They are 13-6 ATS and 6-1 ATS at home.
Now is the perfect time to fade UMass. It’s a team that has lost three of its last four road games and has been a turnover machine down the stretch. George Washington will be eager to get back in the win column and has been great at home.
The Colonials are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a SU loss and have won three of the last five meetings against UMass SU.
George Washington is the better team and should have no problem covering the number.
