Hanner Fieldhouse and the Georgia Southern Eagles host the Davidson Wildcats on Thursday.
Davidson continued with their hot run with their seventh consecutive win following a 65-50 decision over visiting Furman on Saturday. The scoring and defense have been on the same page throughout the conference schedule thus far with the D taking the leading role versus the Paladins in a slow, half court affair. Both teams connected at around 44% with the Wildcats nine more looks and holding an 11-4 edge on three pointers. Tyler Kalinoski led the scoring with 14 points and six pulls with Brian Sullivan adding 13 followed by Chris Czerapowicz and Tom Droney with 21 points.

Sometimes numbers can be misleading and when you dig in to the averages of Georgia Southern you'll find that to be the case. The Eagles score and allow around 72 points but in conference the offense has reached more then 68 points twice thus far. The scoring was down once again in a 68-56 loss to visiting North Carolina-Greensboro on Thursday with just 31% shooting and a 7-29 mark from long range setting the tone. The Spartans hit at 42% and were 8-16 on threes which was a winning combination against the offense of GSU who didn't see the shots fall. Tre Bussey and Brian Holmes tossed in 12 points each while Angel Matias and Jelani Hewitt combined for 19 points with Matias snaring eleven boards.
Davidson looks like they have the eye of the tiger although recently they seem to get a lead and don't really press the issue. I think it's the Wildcats or walk away because they have to keep winning...
