Meanwhile, West Virginia is in 4th place in the Big 12 at 7-5 and come in off a 102-77 upset of Iowa State Monday. The Mountaineers shot 53.8 percent from the field and 59.1 percent from distance to the Cyclones’ 36.6 percent from the floor and 17.4 percent from outside the arc. WVU conceded a 44-34 advantage on the boards, but converted 19 of 21 from the free throw line. Junior F Remi Dibo scored a game-high 20 points, including 6 of 8 from downtown, junior G Juwan Staten had 19 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds, and sophomore G Eron Harris added 16 points. Through 25 games, the Mountaineers are averaging 79.4 ppg on 44.9 percent shooting. Staten leads the team with 18.3 ppg, followed by Harris at 17.4 ppg.

Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is set at -7 for Texas. The Horns scored an 11-point victory over WVU about a month ago in Morgantown, but the Mountaineers have come on since then and so has Juwan Staten. And after maybe their best outing all season, this looks to be a closer matchup then the spread.
