The Illinois-Chicago Flames go on the road to face the Youngstown State Penguins at the Beeghly Center.
I don't think it takes a whole lot of imagination to see that Illinois-Chicago is struggling at 0-11 in the Horizon which is obviously the basement which is likely where they will finish. The Flames are being outscored 74-67 which is a tough way to make a living and when both units have an off day we see a crooked number thrown their way. The trends continued in a 73-53 defeat at Cleveland State where UIC trailed by just five heading to the locker room before their defense and offense struggled over the final 20 minutes. The Flames 35% marksmanship couldn't compete with the Vikings 50% which added up to a difference of 13 field goals. Hayden Humes and Kelsey Barlow netted 13 and 12 points with Jake Weigland chipping in with nine.

Youngstown State has the talent to contend in the Horizon especially at the offensive end of the floor where they average 77 points. It hasn't worked out that way with four consecutive defeats taking the Penguins out of contention with a 4-7 mark in the conference. YSU suffered through their poorest performance in the conference schedule when Green Bay handed them a 71-40 setback on their own floor on Thursday. The Phoenix fired away at over 54% which far over shadowed the Penguins 32% accuracy and added um to 15 more makes from the floor. Bobby Hain led the Penguins with eleven points and five pulls with Kendrick Perry next in line with ten points by scoring was far and few between otherwise.
Neither team has been getting it done so right off the bat I say look elsewhere to put your money. Virtually anything is possible here and I guess if a gun was to my head...
