The Line: Oakland Grizzlies 0 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Wright State Raiders will look to snap out of their funk when they take on the Oakland Golden Grizzles. These teams met earlier in the year and the Raiders won 76-64.
The Raiders have been in a slump as of late, losing four of their last five games. During that stretch, they’re shooting 45 percent from the field and 41.6 percent from beyond the arc, but they’re allowing teams to shoot 48.8 percent from the field. On the road they average 63.1 points and allow 67.6 points. The Raiders defense has been their bread and butter all season, but it’s clearly let them down recently, as teams have scored at least 68 points in three of their last five games. They only allow 62.2 points on the season. Against the spread, they’re 8-13 and 4-8 on the road.

The Grizzlies have lost three of their last four but are coming off an overtime win over the Detroit Titans. Defense has also been their downfall, as they’re scoring 75.6 points but allowing 81.6 points in their last five games. Even at home they allow teams to shoot 46.8 percent from the field and average 78.3 points. Offensively, they average 75.6 points per game and shoot 45.8 percent from beyond the arc. They are 8-16 ATS and 4-6 ATS at home.
This game is going to come down to which team has the ball last, as neither gives a woot about playing defense. The over may be worth a serious look once it’s released Sunday morning.
However, from a spread perspective, I have to go with the home team. Wright State is only 2-11 SU on the road and is having a lot harder of a time winning games than Oakland at the moment.
In a pick’em game, I’ll take the home team.
