The Line: Drake Bulldogs 0 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Drake Bulldogs will host the Northern Iowa Panthers Tuesday night at the Knapp Center. These teams met earlier in the year and the Panthers won 76-66, thanks to 50 percent shooting.
While the Panthers have lost three of their last five games, they’ve won two straight. During that stretch, they’ve averaging 71.8 points and shooting 48.2 percent from the field. Defensively, they’ve allowed 72.2 points on 45.2 percent shooting. On the road is where they’ve really struggled, as they’re 2-9 SU on the season and only shoot 40.9 percent from the field. They are 11-13 ATS overall and 5-10 ATS on the road.
The Bulldogs have only won one game in their last five tries. During that stretch, they’re averaging 60.8 points on 43.2 percent shooting and allowing 68 points on 43.9 percent shooting. They’ve a mediocre 7-5 SU, average 72.9 points and allow 72.7 points on their home court. They are 12-12 ATS overall and 4-6 ATS on their home floor.
It’s quite clear why the line is a pick’em as neither team has a real advantage. They’re both middle of the road teams in the Missouri Valley Conference and likely aren’t going anywhere once the season comes to an end.
But since the line is a toss-up, you have to go with the home team. Drake has won two of its last three games at home, and the home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams.
Northern Iowa has lost four of its last five road games and is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall.
You won’t catch me wasting my time watching this game, but if you’re bored and looking for a chance to make a quick dollar, throw a little something on the Bulldogs.
