The Line: Nevada Wolf Pack -13.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Nevada Wolf Pack hope a visit from the San Jose State Spartans will help them snap their four-game losing streak. These teams played on New Year’s Day, and the Wolf Pack won 62-50.
The Spartans continue to be an absolute joke of a college basketball team, losing 13 straight games. They shoot just 37.7 percent from the field and average 63 points on the season, while the defense allows 71.2 points on 43.6 percent shooting. They haven’t even scored 50 points in four of their last five games. It’s been the same song and dance for a while now, this is a bad basketball team. They are 9-13-1 ATS and 6-8 ATS on the road.

The Wolf Pack have lost four in a row, with three of those games coming on the road. They return home where they are 6-6 SU. During this losing streak, they’re scoring 68.2 points on 42.1 percent shooting and the defense is giving up 75.4 points on 44.4 percent shooting. At home they average 71.3 points and allow 70.2 points. They are 13-12 ATS overall and 5-7 ATS at home.
There’s a lot of chalk to this line, but the Spartans haven’t given us any reason to back them this season. They simply can’t put the ball in the hoop whatsoever. They’re also 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven games. Granted, the Wolf Pack haven’t been much better, as they’ve failed to cover in their last four contests. But at least they can score more than 60 points and are capable of pulling away.
I wouldn’t touch this game with a 10-foot pole. But Nevada is more likely to win in blowout fashion than San Jose State keeping this game even remotely close.
