The Line: San Diego State Aztecs -10.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
One of the better Tuesday college basketball games will be when the Utah State Aggies take on the San Diego State Aztecs. These teams played about a month ago and the Aztecs won 74-69 in an entertaining overtime game.
The Aggies have won three of their last four games but continue to struggle against some of the better conference competition. In their last five games, they’re averaging 69.8 points on 45.1 percent shooting and the defense is allowing 70.8 points on 45.1 percent shooting. On the road they score just 64.8 points and allow 68.2 points. They are 13-9-1 ATS overall and 5-5 ATS on the road.

The Aztecs bounced back from that loss to Wyoming with a 64-56 win over the Air Force Falcons. They remain 12-1 SU on their home floor and hold teams to just 54.2 points on 35.6 percent shooting when they play in front of their home fans. In their last five games, they’re averaging 66.2 points and allowing 60.6 points. They are 12-9 ATS on the season and 4-6 ATS on their home court.
Utah State has really struggled against the better teams in the conference, losing to New Mexico, Wyoming, San Diego State and getting swept in the season series against UNLV. But this is a game the Aggies know they can hang around in considering they just took the Aztecs to overtime. They are also one of the better three-point shooting teams at 41.4 percent, which will help them keep this close.
San Diego State is 2-3 ATS in its last five home games, while Utah State is 4-1 ATS in its last five games played on Tuesday.
The Aggies matchup well on the glass with the Aztecs and shoot well enough to hang around. I’ll take the points in what should be a fun watch late Tuesday.
