The Wyoming Cowboys will look to keep winning when they host the Fresno State Bulldogs. This is also a revenge game for the Cowboys considering they lost the earlier meeting in late January, 67-62.
The Bulldogs have actually figured something out as of late, winning their last five games. During this bizarre winning streak, they’re averaging 73.4 points and shooting 47 percent from the field, while the defense is giving up just 60.4 points on 40 percent shooting. This is a team that looked dead in the water just a couple of weeks ago. On the road they average 68.6 points and allow 75.3 points. They are 13-10-1 ATS overall and 7-4-1 ATS on the road.

The Cowboys added to their win over San Diego State with a 46-38 victory over San Jose State. It’s all defense with this team, as they’re allowing 54.2 points on 38.6 percent shooting in their last five games. However, at home is where the offense improves, as they’re scoring 71.1 points on 52.4 percent shooting. On the season they average just 65.1 points, but do shoot the ball at 48.8 percent. They are 14-6-2 ATS and 8-3 ATS at home.
This game is a lot tougher to handicap than it looked like it was going to be a week ago. Fresno State is playing its best basketball of the season, but Wyoming is nearly impossible to beat at home. The Cowboys play both sides of the ball extremely well and are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five conference games.
The Bulldogs have made us money lately, covering six straight contests, but Wyoming is a different level than a Colorado State or Air Force.
I’m not totally comfortable with this pick, but taking the home team and the chalk appears to be the best bet.
