The Mississippi State Bulldogs have lost seven games in a row and are tied for last place in the SEC standings. MSU is 2-8 away from home and 3-9 in the SEC and they will battle to stay over .500. Craig Sword leads the Bulldogs averaging 12.8 points per game. LSU is 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 0-4 against the spread in their last four games, and 4-10-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Mississippi State is 7-20-1 against the spread in their last 28 road games, 7-2-1 against the spread following a loss, and 1-5-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. The underdog is 5-1-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings of these two.
LSU is much the better team but I just don’t like this number so I am going to take the points with MSU in what is a lean.
