The Line: Ohio Bobcats -5.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Western Michigan Broncos will look to win their sixth straight game when they take on the Ohio Bobcats. These teams met just two weeks ago and Western Michigan gave Ohio a 90-74 beat down.
The Broncos have been rolling as of late and playing solid at both ends. During their winning streak, they’re scoring 72.8 points on 50.2 percent shooting and holding teams to 65.6 points on 42.3 percent shooting. However, the road has been tough for them all year, as they average 62 points and allow 68.1 points away from home. They are 10-10-1 ATS on the season and 5-5-1 ATS on the road.

Since the last meeting, the Bobcats are 2-1 and are coming off a road victory over the Buffalo Bulls. In their last five games, they’re shooting a ridiculous 50.1 percent from the field and averaging 80 points. The problem is they’re allowing teams to score 81.4 points and shoot 48.1 percent from the field. Defense has actually been one of their strengths, as they’re holding teams to just 67 points on 40.4 percent shooting on the season. They are 10-9 ATS overall and 4-6 ATS at home.
The Bobcats are a solid team on their home floor, but haven’t done a great job of covering the number this season. They’ve also been in a serious funk defensively, which is concerning considering that’s how they’ve buttered their bread. The Broncos are an above-average offensive team that will give them fits if that defense doesn’t improve.
Considering Western Michigan is 3-0-1 ATS in its last four games and 6-1 ATS in its last seven games against teams with a winning percentage above 60 percent, I’ll go ahead and take the points.
The Broncos have been playing great basketball and deserve a little more respect than what they’re getting with this line.
