The Line: Air Force Falcons +2 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Both the Nevada Wolf Pack and Air Force Falcons could use a victory when they meet Saturday afternoon at the Clune Arena. These teams met a couple of weeks ago and the Wolf Pack won 69-56 in overtime.
Since then, the Wolf Pack have lost five straight games and have fallen to the middle of the pack in the standings. During this stretch, they’re averaging 67.2 points on 41 percent shooting and allowing 77.4 points on 48.1 percent shooting. The shots simply aren’t falling and the defense has allowed 83 or more points in two of their last five losses. On the road, they average 74 points and allow 76 points. They are 13-13 ATS overall and 8-5 ATS on the road.
USA TODAY Sports
The Falcons have lost seven of their last eight games and return from a two-game road trip in which they split. They’re not really known as an offensive team, but their production has been taken to an all-time low in their last five games, as they’re averaging just 54 points on 35.4 percent shooting. Defensively, teams are scoring 63.4 points on 39.1 percent shooting. It has been seven games since the Falcons have scored 60 or more points. At home, they average 67.5 points and allow 72.1 points. They are 12-7 ATS overall and 5-5 ATS at home.
Neither team is getting much going at either end of the court, which makes this game tough to cap. However, the Wolf Pack have shown better offensive production as of late, is the better rebounding team and has done a nice job of covering the spread on the road.
They beat the Falcons the last time they played and held them to just 28.6 percent shooting.
I’ll take Nevada and the small chalk on the road.
