The Line: Boise State Broncos -6 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
For the second time this month, the UNLV Rebels and Boise State Broncos will square off. They met on the first of February, and UNLV won 73-69 in comeback fashion.
The Rebels have since split their last four games and are coming off a depressing performance against New Mexico. Since their meeting against Boise, they’re averaging 61.4 points on 42.2 percent shooting and allowing opponents to score 64 points on 44.4 percent shooting. Teams are also shooting 38.7 percent from beyond the arc. On the road, they average 69.6 points and allow 62.9 points. They are 15-10-1 ATS overall and 7-2 ATS on the road.
The Broncos recently snapped a three-game losing streak with a two-game winning streak. Since the meeting against the Rebels, they’re averaging 71.8 points on 48 percent shooting and giving up 71.6 points on 51 percent shooting. The Broncos have allowed 70-plus points in four of their last five games. At home they average 78.3 points and allow 68.8 points. They are 7-14 ATS overall and 2-8 ATS on their home court.
If the ATS records weren’t enough for you to lock in UNLV, the Rebels also have a huge rebounding advantage over the Broncos. While Boise averages 34.3 boards per game, UNLV grabs 40 per game. That plays huge into a game that’s likely going to be close. Boise State also plays little to no defense for my taste.
The Rebels are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 road games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games against teams with a winning home record. Meanwhile, the Broncos are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 home games against teams with a winning road record.
Too many angles. I like UNLV SU, but take the points just to be sage.
